So, I came home from work today to discover that 8-Bit's bananas had been delivered in a very timely fashion from Plain Brown Tabby. My heart almost skipped a beat. Would he accept the new one? Would my little gray man be with out his prized toy for the rest of his life?

I decided to take a chance.

It takes me about 30 seconds to open a box in this apartment, 25 seconds in 8-Bit's full body was in that tiny little box digging through the packing peanuts trying to get to his banana. He emerged, nanna in mouth, and quickly climbed the cat tree to be alone with it. I couldn't even get the sticker off, or distract him with salmon treats.

Ahhh... my boy and his nanna. Life is good again.

PS The back up banana is hidden in my under-ware drawer.

Baby locks and a well placed spray bottle have kept him out. I have discovered with a kitty like my 8-Bit you can never be to careful.

Our cats won't even play with most of the toys we would get them, so we stopped buying them. However, they have ALWAYS gone crazy over catnip. One reason I want to try it out.

Yayyyy for the nana!! That's so cute that he dove into the box and searched for the toy assuming whatever was in the box HAD to be for him...

He'll be a happy kitty tonight

You know...when I was ordering from Plain Brown Tabby...I kept looking at those bananas & decided to go for the Kirby Sticks instead. While the kits love the Kirby Sticks...I sorta wish I had gone for the 'nana instead!

I really wish I could have seen him diving into the box
He has accepted the replacement, what a relief.

No worries... he hasn't broken in there in quite some time.

Well, I wish the "nana" had received the same reception at my place. However, it has been in my home for several days and has not moved whatsoever.

Very sad. A rejected and therefore dejected banana.

I'd promised it to you as a back-up for 8-Bit, so if you'll PM me your addy, Heather, I'll pop it in the mail to you.

I'm really glad that 8-Bit is once again a happy boy.
