Oh I'm glad that everything worked out. I can't imagine how scared you must've been. Just dropping Reeses off for a spay I was almost in tears worrying that I'd never see her again.

Glad he's alright!

That must have been absolutely terrifying for you. I know if it were one of mine I'd be beside myself. Thank goodness that you were finally able to wake him up. I hope that he continues to recover from his ordeal - and that you do too! I also hope the milkshake doesn't disagree with you too much, but yeah milkshakes are sometimes required.

Thankyou soo much everyone for all of the supportive stories and kind words. I really appreciate it!
I have been at work all morning so i'm just now getting to update. Kojak is doing sooo much better today!!!!!
Last night i went out and bought him a really soft fleecy little cuddle bed and some toys to cheer him up. I baked him some chicken as well- he was able to keep that down and definitely loved that!
I was glad to see him get his appetite up a bit. That's always good after a scare like that! I spent the whole night with him last night (haha i slept curled up in the bathroom for 1/2 the night because i didn't want to leave him) He is doing much much better today. I think all of those wonderful TCS vibes and prayers help!
He has improved soo much that he is now out of the bathroom and has run of the house again (we're watching him to make sure he's not doing too much). When i got home from work earlier he "payed me back" for yesterday
I walked into the bathroom to find toilet paper shredded EVERYWHERE
His litter (the soft stuff so his incision site won't be irritated) EVERYWHERE! and his new toy shredded to all get out!
He was sitting in the sink watching his betta (haha i've decided the betta is little Kojak's pet- he just loves to watch the fishy
- don't worry the betta's in a nice big covered tank
) So when i walked into that i figured he was ok to walk around the house
I wasn't mad at all- i was happpy he had his energy back! It was good to see the little guy make a little mischif after a day like yesterday! His incision site looks good today- he's healing well- but a little tender as can be expected. I plan to go online later and register his microchip info. After that he should be good to go!
Thankyou again everyone for all the support- i really needed it yesterday!

Oh, man, Nikki, what a frightening experience. I'm so glad to hear that Kojak is doing fine now, and that the kittens have Biafra baby bellies and not FIP.

Oh I'm so relieved to hear this!!!!! It's amazing how fast they bounce back!! The little critters scare the heck out of us, and they forget about it all much faster than we do!

I'm glad you have your crazy little boy back

Wishing I were anywhere but here
I'm so glad Kojak is ok!!!
You are such a nice mom to buy him toys and a new cuddle bed to sleep in and then staying with him. I would have done the same thing as worried as you were. I'm sure he appreciated that. Sending you some more appetite vibes for Kojak!

I am too! It was heart wrenching to even think of loosing my little Kojak- it was aweful to be there watching everything knowing that I was the one who sedated him/ did everything but the neuter- i felt like it was my fault. / I was really worried about the kittens on top of everything else FIP is definitely scarry- so i'm glad that was not the case

I was scared out of my wits but tried to stay calm because i was at work and we also had a lot of other things going on at the same time- yesterday was really stressful. Thursdays at our shelter are usually pretty crazy as it's our spay/neuter day. But in addition to everything i was worrying about my foster kittens, and we had the Parvo scare with some of our shelter pups- it was soo sad

Well umm yea! Hehe those steroids give me sexy chest hair
Just kidding! That's NASTY! I was talking about the hair on my scalp
Hehe i see you laid an egg! / Oh and the milkshake definitely did not like me! My stomach was a wreck!

I am definitely glad he's bounced back a bit to his more normal self! He's sitting in my lap at the moment trying to steal my dinner
And i couldn't be happier seeing him back to his rotten little self!

Awww he deserved it after the rough day he had yesterday!/ Unfortunately, Fosters tried to eat his kitty bed a little while ago!
There's a nice little thread about it
Whiskey has also been eyeing Kojaks little new toy too! I got him a "loofa cat" -it's adorable! But Whiskey loves it and keeps trying to steal it and kiss it- so i think i'll have to get him a "loofah dog"
