Craigslist has it's good points and downside, and this is definitely a downside. Just like Ebay, there is a always the possibility that there are scammers out there.

But seriously...who would go there and take stuff like the kitchen sink without at least someone being there confirming that it was actually free? I know I wouldn't! It wouldn't surprise me if the person who put the ad in Craigslist had people they actually knew lined up to do this and used the Craislist thing as a buffer so they couldn't be directly blamed.

This was all over the news here this afternoon. I LOVE using craigslist but I will definitely be a lot more careful now about what, when, and how I offer or pick things up.

Dang, that is scary....I will have to be on my best behavior to make sure that doesn't happen to me..My fake add would read.."For real it's free..come and take what little she has...all for free..must remove large items without her help..
