Yup I think I'm officially there. I'm at work, and I moved my leg which ran into something relatively solid. My first reaction was to start apologising to the cat for kicking it and reach down to pat it.
I was halfway through this automatic reaction when I stopped myself....

Well if this is one of the crazy cat lady symptoms.. i'm guilty.... a million times over.

I do this alot. I step on something in the dark, it's automatically considered a cat.

Same with if I trip or kick something.
"Oh my god, I'm sorry hunny... nevermind"

Yup, I do such things, too. I've apologized to other women's purses, clothing racks in stores, small bewildered children...
