How long should I give this new litter box filled with world's best cat litter for luxor to actually use it? as i type right now he is upstairs eating the litter. I want to give it a fair shot but my gosh this bag is an expensive meal!!!

i just went to check on him and he was using the other litter box but I SWEAR I know he was eating it.

What kind of litter is it? Eating it can't be good for him. After all, it's supposed to work the OTHER way! I'm not sure I'd give it anymore time if it might make him sick.

It's a corn litter so it's ok if he ingests some.

Wow, corn litter. I've been living in a box and haven't heard of that yet. [Makes mental note to check out corn litter.] Perhaps he'd like some butter on it?

Maybe you could try the wheat litter?

We have SUCCESS!!! well partially,

Luxor pooped in one box (clay litter), then I moved the poop to the World's Best Cat Litter box. I brought him up and showed him what the box was for - and Voila! he didn't eat any!

My friend uses that litter, I was nervous at first of Maia not taking to it when we visited her and CeCe, but she took to it. It smells like vanilla kind of, right? Maia didn't eat it, but I know CeCe did!
Another thing I remeber is that it is not very immediate absorbent, I had to clean Maia's butt and paws after she would pee because it would create a puddle!

I've noticed this too, I'm seeing a few corn mush footprints here and there, but it's a small price to pay for not giving Stan the sneezing fits. I have also noticed that the puddles he makes (once absorbed) don't cement themselves to the bottom of the box the way the Tidy Cats did.

Hopefully now that your boy has done his business in the box, the litter won't seem so much like a buffet!
