So day after the operation and Teddy is bouncing around as usual, jumping on poor Miss Moofs
chasing toys and banging into furniture, mooching in on Dinos breakfast
normal or what ?
Now I am glad he's in good health
all the other signs are good...

but HECK man you had your nuts whipped off less than 24hrs ago !!

Please, please someone tell me, he will calm down

I'm still waiting for Tomas to calm down.

Probably have a 2 to 3 year wait for that to happen.

He was bouncing around right after we brought him home too, a little tender that night but not enough to keep him from being a brat.

HHGY???????????????

..No idea what Tomas was trying to ask just now..

Radar was the same, but as well as having had his nuts off, he also had stitches in his tummy from his hernia fix. I asked the vet if we needed to keep him quiet, and was told that 'if it hurts he won't do it' so just left him to bounce around the flat showing off his sutures and his shaved belly. There was really no difference between the day after surgery and his normal behaviour.

He still hasn't calmed down and he's now nearly 11 months

Ari had his off almost 2 years ago and I am still waiting for him to calm down.

That's why he's my "white tornado".

When Mosi returned from the vets after being 'chipped and chopped' he bounced out of his carrier like nothing had happened and proceeded to spend the evening running around and jumping like normal. Didn't knock him off his stride for a minute.

Mosi's 15 months now and showing no sign of calming down (or sleeping through the night
)

I had Persi done quite early; 3 1/2 months. He stayed overnight at the vets. When I picked him up the next morning and brought him home he seemed a little groggy but by evening time he was the same old Persi, and I have never seen any change at all in his behavior.

I am pleased to hear these stories too as Al is going to be 'done' soon!!! I was worried about what it might be like and if he could rip out his stitches or something. The fact that they act as though nothing has happened is great!!! Although I have to warn that a panic thread might be written on the day!! I get worried about the little guy. Feel lots better about it now though, thank you!

If you can opt for the pre-op blood test and the pain medicine after it might help put your mind at ease
and insure less problems for your kitty.
