Have gone through my grandparents attic and brought all the books from there here, and been donated some from my boss for fundraisers - being as obsessed about books as I am, I had to go through them before I could let them go to teh rescue next week. Is anyone as obsessed as I am where you will read them regardless of how little you would choose to pick them up in a library - I have got nearly 40 books to read unless I can change my mentality on some of them!!!

I recently read CRIME AND PUNISHMENT and went crazy. I went down to the old book store in town and bought up every copy of 19th century Russian literature they had. I have a stack of just about the number you have. I have went through about ten of them now and I keep looking at the stack that is left to read. One stands out and is very daunting to me and I know it is one of the greatest books ever written but its size scares me. That book would be WAR AND PEACE but I think I need to read a few more smaller books before I can work up to that one!

Watching the robins sing!
Yes, I too love old books - both well known and not so well known. One of my favorites is Lorna Doone. I love to hit the old book section at antique shops and buy up old books in good condition! Whenever I am hungry to read an old favorite, I just browse through my bookcase shelves and find the appropriate story!

I finally finished my friends trilogy, and then read an Agatha Christie for some light reading, but now have no idea what to read, I have nearly 60 books, and have no idea how to start, esp as very few are ones I have gone and picked, they have been ones that would have gone for fundraisers otherwise. Some of hte ones from this weeks fundraisers appeal more cos they are newer, but i am just spoilt for choice at the mo!!

I don't feel right unless I have a pile of unread books. Less than a dozen on hand at the moment.

I have to say I dont like not having a lot of books, but I have been going to the library recently, so my idea of a pile is about 4!! When I am on library books, I find myself checking them all to make sure they will last till the next time I can get to the library (can only get there two days a week).
