So, today when we were out to lunch, my flute teacher told me about how she's having trouble with her adult rescued Portugese Water Dog, Lucky. Lucky has been in their home for almost 2 years now, I think, and is a female, presumably spayed (their other dog is a fixed male, and they did get her from a rescue) and I want to say she's 3. My teacher did all the training by going to classes and such. Like I said she's got one other dog, who is 8 or 9 now (Boomer, a male yellow lab).
Lucky lately has been chewing and eating everything, including getting up onto desks and eating things there. She has also been going into Boomer's crate and eating Boomer's blankie. Needless to say, this is causing problems in the family. My teacher says this is a brand new behavior.
Unfortunately, I didn't have any answers for her, so I decided I'd ask you experts. Any ideas as to why Lucky's doing this and how they can stop it? Thanks in advance!
