Sam is losing hair in one spot very red skin

Poor Sam has been through so much the last few weeks. We found out he was diabetic but he seems to be doing ok with that. Many thanks to all those who wished him well and gave me some good advice.

The other day he was on my lap and I noticed something in his fur. Keeping in mind that he has been back and forth to the vet, I thought it was just another bunch of crap he had caught in his fur. Over the next few days it seemed that he was loosing a little of the fur and I just thought that what ever it was, was just growing out. I really could not see much. Thought it was some kind of sticky liquid or something that had dried on him. Tonight I came home and picked him up. He has a large patch of fur gone. The skin is very raw, Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m sure he spent the day licking at it.

Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m taking him to the vet tomorrow, could not get the vet on the phone to ask, but was wondering if anyone could suggest something to clean the skin with that would not be harmful. He does not seem to be in pain, is eating and drinking acting fine.

I would use just plain soap and water. That should do it until tomorrow. Good luck with pure Sam
