Heh, I just totally didn't look at the name on the actual post... I was looking at my subscribed threads and saw the "last person posted" which was different from the actual post I was reading.. I think that's why I just thought, huh???? Flooded???? OMG!!!

Hi, I am also a Weight Watcher and go to weekly meetings. I also go to the WW forum where there are so many boards to choose from including other WW members message boards, they are very helpful.

Ok.. I'm not sure if I posted this or not, but a few weeks ago when I posted that I walked 5 miles on Saturday and then another 5 miles on Sunday, well, a few days or so later I checked it on the mapmyrun.com again and realized that I had forgotten I had to go past the house and down to the dead end and back to make it the 5 miles. So I only walked 4 miles those days.
I was so depressed, but still happy since I hadn't walked 4 miles before in my life either. So.. today I REALLY and OFFICIALLY walked 5 miles. I've very newly proud of myself!
I am tired today though from working all week and last night we had a show for my friends daughter that lasted 4 hours! We didn't get done till 11pm then had dinner and didn't get home till after 1am! I really should go to bed now!

Hehe, we need to start one of those little walking men to record all the miles you're walking!

4 miles is still excellent
but 5 is better

I got the yourself fitness I ordered and found it quite easy to follow
So I have done my two workouts with that on Sat and Sunday

I also lost 2lbs this week

Good job!!!! I should probably get some sort of "workout video" but.. I'm thinking I really just sort of need to start out kind of slow. I did start doing more walking and climbing a few steps here and there over the past few weeks because I was taking public transportation, but now that my sister is back in town, I won't be taking the metro. I'm going to have to get some other sort of exercise in somewhere.

Ohh, maybe I'll try that then. You'd think I'd use that treadmill in the middle of my dining room...

Do they have one of those things? I could use a little tracker, that would be kindof cool!

Me and my neighbor started out slow too! But that program is really nice and you can tell her you need to slow down or speed up!

Hehe, as far as I'm concerned I got my workout on that treadmill before it was ever used, and I think I may have told this tale here... my sister arranged for this free treadmill, and she artfully arranged to make pickup for the weekend she was out of town...So my friend Scott and I, both of us horribly out of shape, show up to pick this monstrosity up..we're greeted by a slightly less cute (and obviously married) version of the Bowflex man...who's like, it's not too heavy!! So, Scott and I struggle to put it in the back of the Scion (while Mr. Bowflex is like lifting it with one finger indicating how light it is).. and Scott follows me back to my house where we then try to figure out how to unload it. So, we have this bright idea.. which is we'll pull it out of the car, and upend it (btw, all the pieces move so it doesn't stay flat and rigid), and figure we'll walk it to my townhouse steps where we'll walk it up a step at a time. This was all good until we got it to the steps, where Scott and I discovered, it's much taller than us, and much heavier than we thought. So, we try to tilt it and "walk" it up the steps... only to find out that it's way to heavy for one of us to support while the other tries to guide and pull... and it's much too long to fit if we try walking it.

So, standing around discussing this for a few minutes (all the while holding the treadmill up).. we decide that indeed, we will go forth and call any (and all) our friends to see which ones we can sucker into helping... amazing how few friends one has when it involves moving a treadmill (currently sitting outside, on the steps, with the threat of rain..). Finally (after five hours of conspicuously missing friends), my dear sweet young friend travels all the way to my house from base, says, let's do this, and the three of us heft it up and into the dining room. I finally pulled up the "arms" and put the braces on it... plugged it in, tested it.. about two months later. I hopped off the treadmill after testing all the inclines and to see how the belt was working...it took probably about four minutes... and said, "welp, that was my workout."
And other than to step over it to get to my desk... I have not been on that thing since.

Sisters!!
They can be so bad!
Well, I think you might like it now, especially since you want to start small. Go for 5 minutes a day, while dinner is cooking or something! Then just keep increasing it!

Well, I got out of the hospital and was about 5 - 7 pounds more than when I went in, Ye-Gods!!! But I expect that was just swelling 'cause now I'm 10 pounds less than that - at least I was this morning. Good news - no hip pain! Yay. Maybe once I can walk and all that I will be able to exercise!

It probably was swelling (we know you eat too much hospital food!!!). Just take it easy and don't try to do too much at once. We don't want you to injure yourself!

It's awesome that your hip is feeling better!

Ok, just wanted to add my info to this thread cause I'm starting to get a bit frustrated. I started WW in November of last year and to date have lost 54 pounds. I'm happy with those results - very happy! I'm down to a size 6 and in some pants a size 4. Thing is I have 5.8 lbs left to hit my goal weight and am having trouble with those last few pounds. As most people do. We'll see what happens this week though because I noticed with my last weight recorded that it said it was time to redo my points. Come to find out I should be eating 2 less points a day then I have been eating so I'm thinking by mistake I was on a "maintanence" point level.
Keep your fingers crossed!! I want those last flippin 6lbs gone and be in a size 4 for all my pants!!

Keep motivated, Lisasha! You've come a long way and you'll get the rest of the way, frustrating though it might be right now. If your points are off, that might be the cause. Just keep your chin up and keep trying things you haven't tried if one thing doesn't work, they'll eventually give up the fight and come off!

It's never fast when it's not something life changing!

That's great news!
Just be sure to take it easy and start small! No need to have to go back in for jumping the gun!

Congrats on the great job thus far! You are doing great and you will get through these last few pounds! It may take a little bit of time but it will be well worth it!

As for myself today... I'm a little sad!
When we weighed in last night I'm up 2 lbs. I could very well just be up 2 lbs, cuz with DH and the teeth/non-teeth issue, I have to eat where ever or whatever we can feed him. Which right now has been lasagna, burritos and chili burgers! (Now.. I eat lasagna, tacos, and the carb free burger with salad and no buns!) But it is taking it's toll on me I know. I still choose healthy dinners when I have the option, but when I have to feed him the burrito cuz it's on sale I don't have many options there. I know that's not an excuse but... it just sucks, cuz he gets mad if I don't eat dinner with him! Spoiled brat!
It also could be that it's my TOM this week and I could be retaining water, need to look and see when it was last time that I knew for sure I was bigger that next moringin after doing the laundry!...
It also could be with all the walking that I've gained 2 lbs of muscle instead of fat! But who knows!
I'm not going to let it get me down and I'm just going to keep working out and walking and eating right!
Good news is in a couple weeks we go in to do the molding on his upper denture and then after about 3 weeks of adjustments and them making it, we go in, have the last 6 uppers yanked and they pop in the denture! After the healing with that and all the adjusments we will start on the bottoms! I know he's been through a lot and I just feel bad to be complaining about what I can or cannot eat since he really can't eat what he wants! Though he has been eating a lot of chocolate doughnuts! And I am surely not going there!
Good thing he is so skinny!
Does anyone have any other suggestions for me? As far as what I might be able to do differently or what I might add in or take out of the routine now?

Thanks,
Jill
