I have that feeling too, but I wish I had a crystal ball to see what it is.......

Awww, Susie! I'm sorry to hear that...it's tough to go through. But I know that, in the long run, this will be good for you. You'll get something that you like even more. There really is truth to the doors closing and windows opening thing. It was true for me when I was laid off several years ago from a job I didn't like and ended up getting my job here, which I (mostly) love. It was also true for my sister who got fired last fall and ended up in a job that she really loves. I know it'll be true for you, too, because you deserve it!

Will you qualify for unemployment benefits???
Is the business closing-one of my (actually 2) BIL's worked at a paper mill that closed and when one of then got a new job the fed government pays him the difference from his old wage to his new wage (I'm not sure is this is still happening). You should look for this in your case to see if it applies to you.
I would take some time to think about your next job move and not jump into something right away (and sign up at temp agencies to-that can lead to a permanent job)
