Renovia.........

I like #5 and #7 the best......if possible I would crop the #5 photo just around Stoli...but leaving enough of the tree-skirt and the Christmas Tree lights to allow people to know WHERE he is.........#7 is absolutely adorable and would probably attract more votes........but I couldn't possibly pick the better of the two. My wife is always on me about entering some of my pics of our cats in contests....but I never seem to take the time to. Sometimes I wonder how I ever survived without a digital camera....best invention since the spoon.

I forgot one thing.......

I'm sure that you have already realized how HARD it is to get a decent picture of a silver mau......no doubt you have. What I do is sometimes I use the tripod and the timer......when they will sit still long enough. I always try to utilize *natural light*.......if possible. And I try to NEVER use the flash....it ruins the natural color of their eyes. On occasion, I do get a *keeper* picture. Amaudeus is so darn photogenic that he will just almost pose for me sometimes......its just a matter of him posing in the right place.....with the right amount of light. Now, Echo......on the other hand is entirely to *busy* to stop long enough to pose for any pictures so it is much harder to get a decent picture of her.
Good luck on your entry into the picture contest.

I actually think the best pic of Luxor is 3 - it really shows his colours and eyes - number 2 makes him look a little scary...

And for Stoli, they're all really cute, but I think 7 is most likely to win a photo contest - his eyes are beautiful, the picture is clear, it's arty looking and the focus is excellent.

They're all good but I'd say my first pick is 3. It's a toss up for me between the other two.

(they're all adorable, btw)

That is to say, 3 out of the second batch. The Christmas Tree.

I like 1, 4, 5, 7, 9

Actually, 4 is about perfect, from a photographic stand point. The lighting and the shadow cast is excellent and gives the picture a lot of character. And it fits the rule of lines!

I'm no expert by any means.......but by taking LOTS...and LOTS of pictures as I said......occasionally I get a decent one or two. I think that BOTH of your cats are soooooooo beautiful. When you take a picture of something and you view it on your computer there will be no doubt whether it is a *keeper* or not. Either way........both of your kittens are KEEPERS !!!

Sorry, I did not see this thread till today. I would choose 8. If possible, I would retake the same photo at the exact same spot with the grill moved out of the way and you can put the two pictures together to create a cleaner pic. Also, I would crop the top to make a wide screen effect. This is just my personal opinion. If I have your permission, I would like to edit 8 and email it to you or post it. Not an expert but it is always fun to try.
