I am not sure how to explain it, but Steven has developed this black mark/dot on his nose. It can't be rubbed off. I've noticed for a while that he has a runny nose at times, and watery eyes, but I thought those were signs of allergy. What might be wrong? Should I take him to the vet?

It's probably just a harmless little freckle. My orange tabby has black dots on his nose and they didn't show up until he was and adult. How old is your cat? And what color is he?

My cat, Snowball, has these black dots on his nose too, and they developed after he became an adult. The vet has never said anything about these dots and I think they are just pigmentation.

I remember you had another kitten who was ill and recently passed away. Since Steven sometimes has a runny nose and watery eyes you may want to take him to a vet just to be safe.

I'm not an expert, I'm just another cat owner, there are others here who are very knowledgeable and may give you better advice.

Good luck!
