Hi,

At last I have worked out how to post these pics! (I have copied the following text from my previous post)

They are all very well including the proud mum and gran!
The weights are as follows:

Black 118g
Tabby 106g
Ginger 98g

I have no idea if these are good weights or not for 1 day olds! I will weigh them every few days to make sure that they are putting on weight.

Just a quick question, how frequently and for how long at a time should mum have a break from the kittens, it's just we're worried that sometimes it is a bit too long. Last night she was away from them for about 45mins and although they were fine and asleep we thought it was important that she didn't leave them for long. Every time she has left them for a while we have had to entice or carry her back to them!

I hope this is nothing to worry about and she is a fantastic mum apart from that! Would just be grateful for some advice please.

aww they are adorable
aww one of each, tabby, ginger and a black - and moma looks well too

I'm not that experienced with kitten care, but when mom goes away do the babies call for her ? and then she goes back ? as long as the babies can stay warm I think its ok for her to be away for that time - I am sure some of our other recent kitten-moms will be able to tell you better

Those are really cute little babies! And Mom looks like she is doing well to - a very lovely family! Congratulations! And I agree, maybe one of the breeders could answer your question for you

Cool pics - you have a little RED Classic tabby (not common), the brown is Brown Mackeral Tabby, and the Black.

I'd love to take them all

YEAH!!!
THEY ARE SOO CUTE - my son wanted an orange on sooo bad!! -As far as keeping warm - Sadie didnt leave her babies till I put a heating blanket in the box - now she enjoys her time away. My mother whos cat also had babies - a looooong time ago - says her cat left the box here and there too just to get a quick break. Sadie goes right back as soon as she hears anything though!!! I hope I helped a lil!! And I am soo happy your lil ones are doing good!!

That's a pretty name! I love the mane Nollee! I got the idea off of a Pac Sun brand sweater I wear called Nollie (Noll-Lee) so I changed the pronunciation a little and the spelling! Love your daughters name that is so pretty and unique! Cute furballs btw~!

They are really cute!!! I wouldn' tbe too worried about mom being away fromthe kittens. Unless they are crying for her and she doesnt come back.

Well done! Cute babies!

To answer your question ... as long as she comes back to feed and clean them regularly it doesn't really matter how long she's away from them. HOWEVER, time away should not exceed 1 hour at the most.

A bit of advise if you will...try and not use towels to line the nest. Kittens nails are always showing and not retracted like older cats and their little nails can get caught on the towel's loops. Best if you use a smooth sheet of some sort!

Thank you! I wish Tiger had a unique name but I didnt name him (my bf did, way before we met)! Sometimes we call him fat man, Tiger boy, or Simba Simba! LOL I know thats kind of harsh but he is a big boy!
