Well, Barney brought a snake in for my approval earlier today. Does that count? I have to tell you, I was pretty excited when I saw it! I was having a coffee out the back and just happened to see him trotting down the back yard. Looked closer (I'm as blind as a bat!) and realised he had a snake by the head and dragging the rest of it along behind him! He was as proud as Punch! I leapt 6 feet off the chair and as he dropped the snake at my feet, grabbed him and flew off inside and slammed the door! Barney was not impressed! Got my heart rate up there for a bit though! I really do have to get another baby so Barney can have a friend!

No, Yola, nothing exciting has happened to me - have been to work earning the money (if you call that exciting!). At least the week-end is upon us now though (even though the weather isn't meant to be too good. A rest is as good as a break, as they say.

Who knows, Lori! I wasn't hanging around long enough to find out! I definitely have to get another baby if Barney needs friends that desperately!

Oh, Diann, how could you hurt poor Barney's feelings that way? That snake was for you-for dinner, I assume, and you jumped and screamed? OH, for shame. Did Barney scream and jump after he ate your roses? Of course not. Poor little kitty. That's the thanks he gets!
p.s. My Nibs brought me a snake for dinner once. It was dead, thank the Lord! Seriously, it is a great compliment when your cat brings a dead animal. It is instinctive for them to want to feed the family.

Hurt poor Barney's feelings, Jeanie? It wasn't dead and just yesterday, he was bitten by a snake. I then made it dead! I am the one who does all the jumping and screaming around here, not Barney, unless of course, I shut the bedroom door on him! Then it's a different story, let me tell you. I feel certain that Barney does not do one thing to give me a compliment! Call me paranoid if you will, but I reckon Barney is trying to tip me over the edge (and he's doing a good job!)

Diann, I wouldn't want to deal with Australia's snakes! I only hope Barney is ok. I would be screaming too. He's a real character, though, isn't he? I'm glad you're both safe.
