Very sad, but I don't really find it odd.

When we lost Manny to diabetes, I was 13, he was 10. I was only 3 when we got him, he had always been around for as long as I could remember.
After hat I dropped out of school and started...... self harming myself, and often had thoughts of suicide. My dog (then puppy) was the only thing holding me back.

I agree that is a bit extreme.. but I loved him more than anything. I bet those people did too.

that I could understand, I think I would be very depressed with out my animals! I think even though it wouldn't replace the animal(s) that had past it might be a good idea to get another one. I always fear a fire or something (and being that we are on the 3rd floor) I worry I wouldn't be home or would panic and loose them. I would have to adopt another animal very soon. sorry if that was to much

I agree, it is VERY depressing when you lose a beloved pet, and its easy to get into that kinda mind set. I know... really, I do.

I think its a bit extreme as to what they did, yes, but in a way, I can understand it.

May they all RIP

How tragic!! Was the death of their dog tied to the pet food recall? Maybe that will wake up the pet food manufacturers... Although if the losses of hundreds of people's beloved pets hasn't already done that, I don't know if there is much hope

It sad to lose a beloved pet, believe me no one takes it harder than me but I would never think of committing suicide over it.
