Has anyone used the sunless tanning lotions for your face and do they work? I was thinking of trying some out since I like the natural look of having a tan but I don't like the sun much and rarely lay out in the sun or get enough sun to get a tan. I don't care to use tanning beds either. I would love to try this though and I was just wondering how long it takes to see results with these products? Has anyone used these with good results?

I've never tried the self tanners. I always thought they would be too difficult to use and might leave streaks. Have you thought of trying the booths that you stand in and they spray tan you?

My friend had a bad experience with one of those - very streaky!

The lotions work pretty well I think, as long as you don't try to use one that is too dark for your skin. I have only used them on my legs. I'd be a little scared to use one on my face just in case I messed up somehow.

No Tracy, I've never heard of anything like that. I don't care so much about my entire body though. I think I just need to get more sun.

Ok, I know something about one brand.

Loreal has a face one that I like. You squirt the 2 separate lotions into your palm and mix it. It looks like foundation when you put it on, but later (about 6 hours to a day) it looks like a tan.

If you want something for your body, start with the Loreal wipes. I don't do my torso because its covered up, but I do everything else with one wipe. Hands are the tricky part. I wash them at the end of the application and pick up the used wipe with a paper towel and re-do my hands and arms. It doesn't streak at all, just be careful not to over-do knuckles, knees and ankles. I get dressed within 5 minutes. You should see results by the next day.

The Loreal lotion gets darker, depending on which shade you choose, but it takes longer to dry.

I have used the Jergens natural glow sunless tanner a hundred times at least. They have a separate one for your face. I have pretty pale skin; I got the one for medium skin tones and it looks fine. I have never had a problem with streakiness(is that a word?)

For my wedding, I used L'Oreal bread Sublime Bronze self tanner, streak free, in Light-Medium. It gives a very natural looking tan and isn't orange or streaky. Just exfoliate really well and follow the directions. The best part is that it's a gradual tan so apply it more times for darker or fewer for lighter. Very nice product.

I think I'm going to give it a try. I was looking at the L'Oreal and Jergens brands, I can't believe all the sunless tanning products out there! I never really looked into it before. Thank you for the feedback.
