Hi.
I'm sure that this has been brought up before but I want to ask something about my Sassy.
I've been noticing that her eyes are a bit watery. She isn't meowing as she usually does and her nose is wet.
Could it be that she has a cold?
She is eating as usual and was a bit playful a while ago.
It's just that I notice "something different" in her face, like she is a little depressed.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks.
Angie

Good for you for noticing that your girl's a little off!!

If the stuff coming out of her eyes is clear, she's fine, but it could be allergy related. With all the wacky weather we've had here in TX the past week, there's no telling what's blown in. If the stuff is yellowish/greenish, then she probably has some kind of infection and needs to go to the vet. Keep an eye on her and watch for any deviation from normalcy in regards to eating, playing, drinking, litterbox habits. and sleeping. Any changes should warrant a trip to the vet.

Emily recently did the same thing but then she started having a runny nose, so a trip to the vet with the diagnosis of a URI, and a week of antibiotics to clear it up...

It is just teary eyed. I will certainly keep an eye for her.
StephanieTx, I was just about to post if someone from Texas knew if the H.E.B. Hill Country Dinnertime food has been recalled??
I am starting to worry with all these recalls that something from that might be affecting my Sassy.
Thanks.

There is only one dry food that has been recalled, and that is Hills prescription dry M/D.

It sounds like she has a cold. I would keep and eye on her and get her to the vet on Monday. Of course sooner if she needs to, but it sounds to me like Monday would be fine.

I will have to wait until Monday to take her to the vet.
Thank you so much for claryfing that it is HILLS and not HILL COUNTRY FARE that the H.E.B. company makes.

Ah, yes,...Hills, as in Science Diet. I didn't even consider the Hill / Hills confusion ...but you're right.
