I was at the petstore this afternoon, browsing, getting some toys for Quill, and I just HAD to go by the bettas .... They were all healthy, except for one. He looked terribly miserable in his little bowl, so after waiting for awhile for the manager to finish up with a customer, I wanted to buy him but since he was sick the manager gave him to me for free! The only thing wrong with him, and the source of his miserableness, is swim bladder disease and that he is quite thin. Other than that he eats like a pig, I've fed him SIX pellets plus a pea and he's eaten all of it! Colourwise he is black, awesome considering that black bettas are hard to find (I have four now, all found in the most unlikely of places). Despite his swim bladder issues he is healthy and extremely curious. I've fallen in love with this little guy, he's so lovely.
Eventually I'm moving him into a shallow tupperware so that it won't be so difficult for him to get to the surface, but for now he's in a half gallon bowl. I've decided to call him Azimuth
