The vet just called and gave Aku's owner the OK to bring him out of quarantine. After a 2-month period of fighting ringworm, Aku just got a clean bill of health.

Just another reminder to be ever so careful when you bring your baby along to pet stores. Sure, the store might welcome them but they may also bring something unwelcome home with them.

As I've always had birds as pets, which are very susceptible to disease borne in feather or faeces dust, it does occur to me - people think I'm nuts because I separated my cats when Radar was ill and didn't let them interact until 7 days after the antibiotics were finished - but it's always useful to have a reminder of such things!
