Another point question!

I have been wondering why I am saving points. It would be nice to know what I could do with them besides buy gifts, ribbons, and donations. I know there are things you can do with them if you become a premium member, but where can I go look to see what I could buy. I know for instance some have highlighted usernames. But do I already have to be a member just to see what I could buy with points? Before I sign up I just want to know what I can buy or whether I should just be giving things away instead of hoarding points. Or do I have to become a premium member just to see what I could use these points for?

Just as an illustration, my username and user title have a special font (Comic Sans), color (green/dark green), and are bold, underlined, and italicized. I haven't tried the glow or shadow because they only show up if you use IE, which I don't. My avatar is increased (120 x 98 pixels), too, but that doesn't cost points.
