DH and I don't care for video games at all, but watched people playing the Wii at a friends place last week, and it looked soooooo cool! Then we saw some other people using it at work and they were playing bowling and tennis and it was so funny to watch, and they were having so much fun. I like the fact that it's much more interactive than a regular game, and the games were all short, fun things.

So Wii owners, here's some questions for you!

1. How much are they? I can't find any info anywhere!
2. What's the best place to buy one? I know they're still hard to get.
3. How long have you had it for, and do you still play with it, or is it now collecting dust?

Thanks!

It is a fun system. I paid $249.99 + tax on the first day it came out (waited 12 hours in line). Everywhere is still out of them. Best Buy, Target seems to be the best place to get them. No need to get extended warranty as it is just a waste of money. I still have my old NES and it is still working!!!. I still play it all the time, surf the net with it, emails with it. It is a truly great gaming machine.

I got Husband one for Christmas. He and Daughter love it! I will definitely play the Zelda game soon.

I got the Wii and the Zelda game at the same time for about $380 CDN ($328 USD) including tax. I lucked out by stumbling upon the line for 30 of them when I went to get a movie from Future Shop (sort of like Best Buy).

You should get one. You will be spending lots of nights at home after the baby is born, and it's a fun way to spend evenings at home.

p.s. It's fun to watch YouTube videos with the Wii on the TV; much easier to see. Has anyone seen William Shatner singing Rocket Man? OMG!

1. $250.00 plus tax!
2. We got ours at Target, but you can get it at any big box store.
3. We have Wii parties, about once a week for bowling. It's gotten quite competative too... we are thinking about having jackets made.

I love it, and it's one of the best video game systems I've ever had.

No, but I have heard him sing Mr. Tambourine Man. Hilarious.

I have never heard of Wii, but will check it out.

Although I don't have a Wi, I was considering getting one. I had a Nintendo when it first came out and now I have a gameboy sp advance. I also love their nintendo ds systems. I have always like nintendo. I would also look at amazon.com or any well known store like best buy, wal-mart, target, circuit city and if you have access to a military base, I would try to get one there. You don't pay tax. Good Luck!

Funnier still is Stewie Griffen (Family Guy) doing William Shatner doing Rocketman

I was actually going to post a Wii thread today too!
I got one for my b-day and LOVE it! Hubby and I have so much fun playing. We have been meaning to have a Wii party but have not gotten around to it yet.

Anyone want to share Wii numbers? I love growing my Mii Parade!! So much fun.
I don't know my Wii ## off hand but I will post it here later.
