Any experience you all have would be greatly appreciated!

Someone was asking specifically about what breeds are compatible with bengals. I would assume that you would want to place an active cat with another active cat. Your thoughts?

I have heard that, too... active cats with active cats. I think it gets trickier when you try to pair something like a female Burmese with another breed... they're just too diva-like, and need a companion that is very laid-back but will still play, like a Scottish Fold.

Personally, I think it doesn't really matter a whole lot as long as they are introduced to one another as kittens (or at least one of them being a kitten and the other not too old, like less than four years).

I understand Bengals weigh about 9-12/13 lbs....about the same size as ocicats. I thought they were bigger then the oci's.

So any cat about that size and activity would work. If you want specific breeds, I'd go for ocicats, maine coons, turnkish angoras. All of them are fairly active (oci's the most active to equal the Bengals). Most of the other medium size cats would be more laid back - american sh, british sh.

What a great question! I worry about introducing a purebred kitten/ young cat to my Sophie and Mollie. I am thinking about getting another kitten, but worry about getting a breed that tends to be super active and dominant.
Maybe some of the breeders could list their breed and what type of cats (not just breed but age, personality, etc.) would be a good fit!
