Hi. Ryan, the cat that owns me, is a 3 1/2 yo domestic (north american) shorthair.

As I've recently become one of the 100s of thousands recently unemployed in the technology industry, I've been spending much more time at home and therefore, with Ryan.

I've noticed that sometimes when he sleeps, he has spasms. Is he dreaming about catching a mouse or something? Should I be concerned?

Thanks,

JR

Hi there! Sorry to hear about your employment situation... but at least you get more time with your baby!
As for the muscle spasms, I wouldn't worry, cats like most animals and humans, twitch and move in their sleep.... some even snore!! Unless the "spasms" become violent, there is nothing to worry about

I've always liked watching my cats sleep. I had one that snored and twitched his paws. When he did that I used to tickle his paws and he'd twitch more. I wonder what they dream about. My two cats now are different sleepers. One cuddles up, the other one droops all over and goes completely limp.
