RIP Angel 12/04/2006!
A late tribute but paying my respects anyways... Miss her she'd be 14 as of last week! Love my kitties but the bond is still not the same!

Sorry to hear that you don't feel the bonds you have with your cats is the same as the one you had with Angel. He looks like a really beautiful dog, I can only hope that he is running free over Rainbow Bridge

My bonds are different but still great for my cats! Ive only had my cat's for a year and the other for one month! I had my dog for over 9 years! It's a she by the way! I love cats just as much as dogs, but Angel and I have a long history! It doesn't mean I love my babies any less! Dogs and Cats are different beings! It was her time to go... I hate making those decisions! Hopefully she is in doggy heaven chasing squirrels, rabbits, and deer!

Beyond The Rainbow

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Yeah I was crushed! I didnt have my kitten at the time but if it wasnt for my Tiger I wouldn't have got threw it (not to sound lame) my mom said the same! My kitties remind me off those great feelings and warmth I had with Angel! I do miss her and I hated to make the euthanized decision but it was so her time! Still makes me feel bad! Why can't animals live longer? I like animals better than humans (no offense to anyone)!

I'm sorry for your loss. The truth is the bond is not the same with any 2 animals. They are all differnt & when they come at differnt times of our lives they experience differnt things with us. I had a terrible time in my early 20's & it was so hard when my cat Smokey died, because I will never have another animal that I can say was there for me when.... Time does make it better & you'll form special bonds with your kitties.
