Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Sweetie, Deljo! I am praying that she recovers quickly and with no lasting effects.

Be strong; I know it's hard!, but it'll make the waiting a wee bit easier for both you and your furbaby.

Many hugs to you.

I saw Sweetie last night at the clinic. I took her favorite toy and because I didn't know the size of her cage I took her a clean washcloth i wore to get my scent on it. The tech brought her into the examing room wrapped in a blanket. She had the thing? in her leg that they would put the IV into. She seemed ok. My daughter and I were with her for about 1 hr. The tech said the animals recover quicker if the family visits. I'm glad I went I feel much better now. I spoke to the vet and she said Sweetie was coming along as well as could be expected and they expect complete recovery. She was sneezing and the vet said that is normal in the clinic with all the other animals present but this was nothing to be concerned about. Thanks to all for your good vibes. I know they are helping her. I'll give updates as more info is available. I really appreciate this site.

I'm so sorry about your kitty
This makes me so sad and mad, this whole food / recall thing
I'm glad you were able to catch it so quickly and get her into the vet and I'm glad it sounds like she will make a full recovery

Sweetie came home last night. Her kidney values were better. She had her leg shaved for the IV and her neck shaved for blood tests. She came home with a cold she's coughing and sneezing. But she's home. Now my other cat is not eating. The vet said to wait and see how she is. I'll wait today and then take her in to the ER clinic. This pet food recall is expanding and its so sad. Thhis AM's paper said the FDA won't say how many deaths. AS far as posting my kitties pix I have to admit I don't know how to get them on this site with my signature. I use computers all day, but not for pix. If someone would tell me how I'll have my grandson walk me through it. Thanks to all for their vibes and concerns. I know they made a difference.
