tax forms... uh-oh

I cannot for the life of me find one of the tax forms from a company I worked for last year! Can those be reprinted and resent? Is this a complicated procedure? Has this ever happened to anyone else? There is a good chance it blew out of my car window yesterday. A few papers did and I am afraid that was one of them!

Just contact the ocmpany and see if they can send you a copy.

I seem to recall something like this happening in my distant past. (Okay I'm not that old but have a terrible memory so it just seems like it). I believe that I moved or something so my form got sent to my old address and never forwarded on to my new. Anyway, I just called the company and they sent out a new one for me. Not a big deal, just a little bit of a pain.

i h ad to est on my tax that year.

I think you can estimate if you don't get it in time. Then, you will have to file an amendment once you do get it. I would check with an accountant just to be sure. Good Luck.
