wrote his first letter !!!!!

Woohoo. I'm so proud of him. He is 4 years almost 2 months. It was just a year and a half ago that he couldn't even talk, but now he is caught right up and I'm teaching him kindergarten material and he is catching on quickly.

I'm teaching him to write his name and he's got his T down now! He also can count pretty well. We are working on learning up to 25 right now. I just have to get him writing them and we'll be good to go for kindergarten in fall (which I was going to wait another year).

I know it sounds silly, but it is such a big deal because at the age of 2 years 9months, Telaryn only spoke 5 or 6 words and signed everything else.

Since he had surgery on his ears, he has become a whole new child. The specialist said he couldn't hear very well, like trying to hear under water, so it's quite a difference to have him talking, singing, counting and writing letters.

This is a huge victory for my son and for me.

Ha! I read "My son just wrote his first letter" and thought, "Oh, that's nice -- I wonder who he wrote to..."

LOL...yea not as huge of an accomplishment, but for him it's something!

He was so surprised at himself. He's got some behavioral issues...like he gives up extremely easy, so this was such an ego booster for him.

He's my light and love of my life!

Oh, it's a HUGE accomplishment! And you're a wonderful mom for making him feel so good about it, and sharing it with us.
