Are priests!
It's not only cats' but now it's men's choir at 6 a.m!

My neighbor donated (or sold) her house to the San Agustin order. It is now a residence for their priests.

So far they're quiet except for the 6 a.m and 6 p.m 30 minute daily chanting.

That's not too bad....I'm up by 5:45am at the latest and I don't get home until 5:45pm at the earliest, so I often wouldn't even notice them lol

I hope you enjoy your new neighbors!

I think I would rather enjoy the chanting

But that's me, I actually have a couple of CDs of Gregorian Chanting.
I find it relaxing.

We had a group of Munks move about a 1/4 of a mile from our house. So, I can relate somewhat.

At least you know they'll be (mostly) a quiet bunch and they like kitties! I live one house down from a church, so I get bells at 8AM (I'm gone by then on weekdays anyway), singing at random times, the wedding march on Saturday afternoons, bells at 6PM and the funeral hymns...oh, and the occasional bag piper...that one was a problem...otherwise it's not so bad.

Watching the robins sing!
I agree, better priests than many other people you could end up having as neighbors. Also, they are around all day, so it's like having the "neighborhood
crime watch" living next door!
Do they make anything good - like breads - or maybe distilling cognac?

Well that doesn't really sound so bad. And atleast you don't have to worry about them harrasing you every time you walk by and having a group of men out sitting on their trucks making cat calls.
