Ok hubby picked out a name - we have decided on Vincent
A fellow TCSer had a foster kitty that we had thought about visiting but it ended up just being too far to travel. His name was Vincent and Brendan really likes that name - so thanks artharitis for being our inspiration!!!

Vin comes home tonight - will hopefully post some pictures and/or stories later!

What's this about hopefully? It's a must that you post pictures of such a beauty!

Now hopefully is what you say when doing cat introductions....

Is there a way for me to change the title of this thread to 'Meet Vincent' instead or does a Mod have to do that?

Vin did great on his first night home!
He LOVES kitties I think. He came out from hiding as soon as he heard Ebony whining at us from behind the door of his room. Eb is a little freaked out, but I think he's excited about meeting her soon.

I took advantage of his coming out from hiding by giving him lots of pets and scratches. He loves to be petted and loves to purr when he gets it! Here are the first pics:

I'm not so sure about this all yet

Who's that kitty out there meowing at me?

I guess I can come get some love from my new mom and dad!

We are moving along slowly but surely. Vin is a great guy. You start to pet him and he just FLOPS over and begs for more and more pets and rubs. He has one spot on his chin that is like his 'magic spot'.

When Brendan and I were both home from work we opened the door and brought Ebony down. Vin was SO happy to have another kitty around and he came over to sniff her. Eb freaked, hissed, and ran as far away as she could. She's not one to attack but I think it will take her a little bit to warm up.

We now are here supervising so we have Vin's 'safe room' door open a crack in case he does want to come out and explore. We'll see if he decides to venture out.

Hopefully I can snap a few more pics later.

I think its the pink nose!
You don't see a whole lot of brown tabbys with a pink nose.

He did come out last night! Ebony was NOT amused. He wanted to make friends he kept seeking her out. They got nose to nose but Ebony made some huge gutteral noise and got all puffed up so he got the idea. She'll come around sooner rather than later I hope.

He is sooo handsome Beryl! How's your hubby liking having him? And I'm sure Ebony will realize that he's another cat to chase soon enough... so far it sounds like it's going pretty well! Can't wait to see more pictures (and you'll have to keep pointing them out to me because for some reason I keep missing them, lol)!

I have decided I want to try to keep all of my Vincent pics in this thread and continually update it. I never did that with Eb and I regret it. Anyways, he's been out and about, exploring, and trying as hard as he might to make friends (Eb isn't quite ready). I think we're doing pretty good for being 3 days in. Here we go:

I found a comfy place - and look at how nicely it matches my fur!

Stretch!

Mom, why won't she be my friend yet?

Thank Ari for the comments - hubby has turned around 100%. I think he loves how laid back and cuddly he is turning out to be. He's a hard one to convince to bring a kitty home, but once the kitty is here he is a softie and falls in love. Yay!
