Hamster Babies

I tried to get pictures and they were all really blurry because they are sitting in a green wheel right now. Here is a video of the babies moving around. It's not the easiest to see, but you can see them moving around. The noise you are hearing is the mom chewing on the cage. She does that every time you go near it.

Here are a couple of pictures.

Once they come down into the normal part of the cage, I will get better pictures.

Oh good grief what a tiny little creature! I am intrigued, how old are they when they can start to look after themselves and be independent of mum? The only thing I know about hamsters is not to touch or disturb the babies cos mum may abandon or turn on them, and that you have to separate them quite young because they are little breeding machines! Other than that I am in complete ignorance about them, other than they look cute

Apparently its 18-20 days before than can be taken away from their mom, but they should stay with her for 4 weeks. At 4 weeks they must be seperated or else you end up with babies, which is why I have babies right now. The pet store didn't seperate them and they mated. When mine are old enough, 2 are going to my friend, 1 is going to my sister and the other 2 are going to go back to the pet store unless I can find them homes.

I think its amazing how they grow so fast. 10 days ago they were born and had no fur and they were pink. Now they look just like little hamsters except their eyes aren't open and they are about ½ the size of my thumb. In another like 10 days they will be a lot bigger.

I think I might be able to take the remaining two.

Are they all grey like their momma?

I thought mine was male The babies are just too cute. I really can't believe how fast they grow up. They are 12 days old now and so far 2 are walking around the cage and only 1 that I know of has opened its eyes.

Yes they are all grey. Different shades though. Some are light grey, some are a medium grey and some are dark grey. If you would take the other 2 that would be great. If you want to come by and see them or something, you are more than welcome.

Here is another video of a baby. Don't mind the music and the mommy hamster chewing on the cage.

I might just do that/

When will they be able to go?

I just need to make sure it's alright with everyone else first before I bring them home.
