All my cats and dog love tuna, they rarely get it though. I don't eat it and DH doesn't have it very often.

Nobody here eats tuna either. I buy it solely for the cats!

What kind of cat doesn't like tuna???!?
Chynna loves canned tuna and canned salmon. But then again I haven't found anything that she doesn't like, hehe

Abby on the other hand doesn't like tuna or salmon or most everything else other than her normal w/d feline dry cat food. She doesn't even like steak!

Mine go bananas for it!!! It is only for treats (because it is really for my sandwiches!!!) but Irecently bought a new brand which is in spring water instead of brine or gloopy oil, and they ate every mouthful and then stared back at me as if to say.........."so where is the rest of it?!?!"

Fred doesn't really like anything but his own food. Even treats aren't tolerated. Once I saw him eat a tiny bug. Nermal on the other hand will eat lots of stuff if he gets his paws on it.

Strange, as Fred is chubby and Nermal is slim.

Our guys all LOVE tuna (including the dogs) but they can't have it too much because it causes a Vitamin E deficiency in cats because it can stop them absorbing it from other foods - apparently.

I found this out because when Mum was looking after Sashka for a while last year when I was in between houses, she used to feed it to her every night along with her biscuits. We thought it was fine until Sashka started trying to eat every single bit of styrofoam she could get her teeth into. That of course freaked me out a lot so I looked into it - and apparently there is something in styrofoam which is like Vitamin E and cats crave it if they are lacking it in their diets.

So, I guess you learn something new every day! They can still have it of course, they just can't have it every day anymore - they have some once every couple of weeks or so. I don't know if it's the same in dogs but they get the same deal.

Mine love the tuna water far more than the actual tuna, so if I'm making sandwiches for us I'll drain the water off for them. They'll eat little bits that come out in the water, but a whole lump of tuna doesn't go over as well. They much prefer chicken.

Yes, Monkey LOVES tuna....everytime I go to the can opener she runs into the kitchen...and she will meow like crazy as soon as she smells the tuna.

I have to give in and give her a little but of tuna.

Gillan has had tuna once, and loved it!!! I tried him with an olive last night - thought he had munched it, then found wee bits of olive all over the carpet!
