In Memory of Chloe and Phoebe

Stolen from your mother at such a young age
You came to us so sick.
Our two hairless babies
One black blaze, one white -
Zooming around our house
Driving all the others crazy,
Chloe was the first to leave
at only six months,
And we grieved.
Phoebe grew and blossomed,
Black gloves on her elegant feet
Perched on our shoulders,
Chattering to the wind,
our constant companion.
Phoebe left us
at ten months old.
And we grieve.

Phoebe is at the Bridge and I am sure Chloe and her brother Pharoah have met her - I will not be posting for a few days. Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes.

I can't tell you how sorry I am about Phoebe. I loved her too. She was very special to me. I wish I could've been there with you tonight but know that you would've preferred to grieve in private. My tears are genuine and my heart aches. I don't know what I would do if I was in your situation. It's a hard decision to make. Just know that you, Clint and Phoebe are in my thoughts.

I am so sorry to hear the news about Phoebe. I hope that you are doing ok during this difficult time.

I just got off the IM with Rene and she's not doing too well but will heal with time. Rene, you are my best friend and I wish I was there for you. My eyes are so swollen since I started to cry when you called me at work this afternoon to tell me what was going to happen. Phoebe and Chloe are together and the man above took them for a reason. We will all meet our babies at the Bridge one day. My deepest sympathies to you, Clint and all who have had the privileged to have known Chloe and Phoebe.

Phoebe is at peace, with Chloe and Pharaoh. You are all forever bonded by love, but it's nevertheless a great tragedy when loved ones depart from us. My heart goes out to you, for the burden of such a loss is great.

I have been worried every since your abrumpt reply that I had hurt your feelings and that was the least of my intentions. I did not know what you were going thru. Rene', I am so sorry. My tears fall for you and your babies. The last post that I read was that she was feeling better and coming home. How heart breaking that she finally had to leave you and cross the bridge.

God, now I'm sad after reading this. Both of your sweetie's were such kind, warm hearted kids. I'm sure that they will keep a place warm for you to sit when you one day join them.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts - this site truly blesses me because everyone of you knows how much I am hurting right now. Darlene, you did not hurt my feelings. if my answer was abrupt it was because I hurt so bad. i have lost many babies - foster kitties who could not overcome their past and some of my own, but this one was the toughest as Phoebe was truly mine and was my constant companion. Although I have many other wonderful cats, my house is empty tonight. And Fran, Donna, and all my friends that are on this site that know me personally, thank you for your friendship, your caring, your flowers(Donna) and the ability to still make me smile!
