garbage disposal quit working

I went to use the garbage disposal & turned on the switch, & it didnot work! How do you fix something like this?

Then look on the bottom of the disposal under the sink. There may be a button that is a switch you can push in. Them check to see if the blades are jammed by useing a wodden spoon or broom handle to spin the blades. they should be able to move when you push them. Remove the broom or spoon and turn on the water and turn on the disposal. I hope this helps.
