I hope the neighbors didn't hear me!

Wow i need to just call it a night I forgot that Colin had raised the windows earlier to cool off the house (with safety screens closed and secured - we raised the tops not the bottoms of the living room windows- no way they can get out Well, i forgot they were open and since i'm supposed to be on bed rest for the next few days, i was getting rather bored. (i'm banned from doing everything around the house - i'll probably be bad and break that rule lol). So i had my guitar out singing at the top of my lungs. (good sinigng - i was a music industry major for a while back) but still- singing and rocking out at the top of my lungs Then i felt a drift of air and it hit me- OMG! The windows were open and the neighbors can hear me Wow....do i feel like an idiot I hope they enjoyed their complementary music for the evening

You are not an idiot just an american idol hopeful
post #6 of 26
LOL! In my neighborhood, you'd deffinately have been heard!

And depending on the style of music.....you'd possibly be at the wrong end of many jokes for a long time to come!
I thought you were going to say you were doing something else. I wouldn't worry about them hearing you sing. I would love to hear music from my neighbors.

I'll have to disagree with that, last year some people down across the road in the cul de sac had their own little garage band playing. I was stuck outside weeding the turtle pen and had to listen to it. The drummer could only play (and barely at that) one beat. When they attempted Nirvana songs I fled into the house.

Sounds like my old neighborhood before i moved in with Colin I live in Memphis....uhhh...and let me tell you - Fiesta Night stinks! The neighbors drink tequila all night and play their music as loud as they can from their trucks....while sitting in their parked trucks for hours at a time drinking and playing their music- it drives me crazy! They also leave beer bottles all over the cove and ground- so that the cars have the pleasure of driving over glass! Not to mention -there are children that play in the neighborhood and they have to play near those broken beer bottles- it drives me mad. I have been harrassed on numerous occassions by strange men sitting in their trucks completly drunk- hate it. They're totally rude and have no respect for their neighbors or the noise ordinance laws. Did i mention Memphis police officers for the most part stink.....so they never do anything I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i'm staying in Bartlett with Colin now!

That's ok. I'm sure my neighbors can hear me playing the drums at 10 o'clock at night and no one has said anything. They may have enjoyed it
post #18 of 26

That sounds a whole lot more like a practice session! Nobody wants to listen to a bad band practicing.

But a few songs from someone who knows how to play or sing - a couple of minutes of that would not be annoying at all. We used to have a pianist downstairs when we lived in Berkeley, and he'd play around the time we were having dinner every night and we all really enjoyed it.

Singing is a lot less embarrassing than...well...you know.

Oh you wouldn't have the heart to kill me. Severely injure me maybe, but you'd leave me alive

Well one neighbor is seperated between me by a fence and they never have windows open, even in the summer (must have A.C.), and the neighbor next to me says he really can't here. His parrots or whatever he has are louder than my drums I'm sure
