I finally got the little guy to sit still long enough to get a picture without running away from the camera monster
This is the only picture i managed to get of little Whiskey....i will try to take more later on
He is such a sweet, sweet little dog!!! He loves his new brother Fosters, and he also is excellent with my kitten Kojak as well as all of my foster babies
Colin's friend was trying to rehome him not too long ago because his other dogs were beating up on him. His friend had rescued him from a shelter before that (so we're his 3rd owners). We think he was severly abused in his first home. He's really skiddish- so we've been working night and day with him and he has progressed SOOOOOO much! I'm soo glad things have worked out and we were able to give this sweet pup a good home. I think he knows he's safe here with us
He is a Basenji mix- this is a really neat breed. I had never seen one before i saw him. He doesn't bark at all - he makes weird vocalizations and yodles
It's really cute! He's also doing wonderful with his training so far. We've really been working with him. I do think we now need a bigger bed though- a queen is just not cutting it for two humans, two dogs, and kojak

He's very cute. Looks like a lovable dog.

My neighbor had a purbred Basenji when I was growing up. She was an evil little thing at times, but I liked her non-the-less. She would never bark, so as kids we never knew how to approach her. I'd just sit down and let her come to me, if she felt like it. Besenji's seem to bond closely with one person and then they don't really like anyone else.

Since you have a cross, hopefully that won't be the case for Whiskey. Congrats on your new addition!

Thankyou
/ He has definitely bonded the most with me. He sleeps right on my chest at night.
He also loves Colin though...and does wonderful with our other animals. Definitely not an aggressive dog at all- he's skiddish...but he's a total sweetheart.

Thanks Krista
He really is such a sweet little guy! I'm glad he's worked out sooooo well with all of us. It's a prefect match
This little guy is never going to have to worry about being abused or rehomed again- i think he knows he's safe here with us. He's come out of his shell quite a bit.
