My son is getting married this year and last summer his fiancee's dog, Andy, died under suspicious circumstances that sound a lot like the ones surrounding this pet food recall. Andy started vomitting and refused to eat or drink.

my dog died about a month after switching to Natural Balance, but it was dry food and he did not vomit. He only stopped eating after he stopped walking. We are not 100% sure why he died it may have been cancer but when the biopsied the tumor in his spleen it showed no cancer. I don't think it was the food.

In Ohio, with a houseful of Kitties
My Kitty Girl was put to sleep on 2-14-07...she got ill so quick and lost alot of weight, wasn't eating well. The vet said it was FIP but now I am wondering.
I've been asking one question and cannot find an answer...Does a cat in kidney failure have a large swollen belly? My kitty turned to skin and bones except for this huge belly. This happend over a 3 week period. I was buying
Iams kitten food pouches cuz she was being so finicky. I am not sure n ow what really happend to my baby..doesn't change theoutcome but I am just curious.

I would nt say it couldnt have a swollen belly but it is not a common symtom

My sisters young Chi died on Christmas day from kidney failure. I know they fed Nutro occasionally (but not often) from sometimes baby-sitting him. He was diagnosed in November of last year. She knows about the recall but doesn't know if he ate it enough to worry that of was the cause.

In dogs, they usually get really skinny.

my dog was put down due to brain tumor and seizures and old age

I lost three kittens to Panleukopenia, but i just realized they were eating some of the Iams wet in the foil pouches that WAS recalled. They vomitted, diarrhea, lost weight and appetite and died within just a couple of days. They did test positive for Panleuk though by the humane society.
