My wife just rolls her eyes at this stuff, I know you guys will appreciate it

We were watching "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" tonight, and the contestant who was on, her name was "Avis". I turned to my wife and said "Avis? Did her parents name her that because she was conceived in a rental car?"

You sound just like my husband. And I do the
with him also. We finally got to the point where I do a fake laugh or he will repeat the joke and try to explain it to me.

I have to because he will explain the joke to me. He seems to think that if I don't laugh then I didn't get the joke, not that I didn't find the joke funny. Actually,
I think it is to torture me more.

I've learned to know the difference from when she didn't get it, and just didn't think it was funny...which is usually the latter most of the time

Who knows? I heard a report of a kid named for the car she was conceived in.

Somewhere is that website with all the odd names. Like the woman named "Shithead" (pronounced Sha-theed).

Or like how the Beckhams named their kid Brooklyn because that's where he was conceived? That's all kids need: a permanent reminder of where their parents "did it."

For the record, though, I'd like the "opportunity" to name my first child Porsche. Or Lamborghini. Or maybe Lear Jet.

. . . the remainder of that quote is . . . . and fools seldom differ!

My hubby has a great sense of humour that our daughter and I love. Not everyone gets his humour but he has us laughing a lot. I feel blessed to have him around and keeping me amused. Of course, I believe I amuse him as well.

Never mind her name. That dip didn't even know that North America is not a country! You must have to take a dumb test to get on that show. (And panda bears are from Japan???) I have to stop watching that show.

That's what I was thinking of too.

I guess Avis would be better than Hertz...or Enterprise

No I don't think I've seen that. What commercial is it for?

I know I can believe she thought North America was a country! As soon as the question was asked, without skipping a beat I knew it was Australia. But I can't judge, most of the questions on there I don't get
