hehe and thanks, for the pizza,(man i swear this last 30 pounds just refuse to leave no matter what i do)
Heck, if you wanna loose that weight all you need is Colitis, the stomach bug, and IBS
I've lost 10 lbs in less than two weeks- that is NOT a good thing as it's not good to loose that much weight that quickly (not intentional- i've just been sick as a dog.) / Glad you enjoyed the pizza! Everyone needs a treat now and then
/ I didn't mention the new job interview - forgot to earlier as i'm still feeling pretty crummy. I didn't quit my other job at the animal shelter- i still work there and love it
Here's a quick run down on the new offer. I applied back in Aug. to the vets office i take my cats to- i am personal friends of the vets and have gone there for a while now. I love the office and the staff seems really nice. Back when i applied they told me they had no open positions but as soon as one came up they'd call. Well fast foward to now- two employees of theirs are moving out of town so they have some positions open. The vet called me yesterday (mind you i had just left the doctors office and was doped up on antibiotiocs
) and said that i was the first person he called because he knew my work/experience with my fosters and other animals and knew i was the employee he wanted. I was honest with him- told him i had the job as a Tech at the shelter i'm at now...told him what i was making pay wise and all that info. And he said that he'd be willing to work around my schedule full time or part time.... So i told him i would consider it and since i'm bringing in my kitties for their yearly check up later today, i would talk to him then. He said that was great. So i'll figure out if i'm going to take the new job or not then. If i do take it -i only want part time hours and will keep my hours at the shelter as they are. I will be getting full time hours at the shelter in July - so when that happens i will likely not stay at the vets office- just use it in the mean time to supplement my income. I'm still not sure yet but i told the vet that's what i was considering if i took it- i'm talking to him later today so i'll know then if i'm interested for sure or not. I would LOVE a job there....but i also love the job i'm at now and i make more than i would there not to mention my up comming raise/benifits/ and full time hours. So i will not be quitting the shelter- i was just thinking about adding on to my hours

Here's the thing- shelter i'm at now:

I make $1.40 more an hour than i would at the new job (i'm already making more)
I get a pay raise in July
I get full time hours in July
I get full benifits in July

At the vets office

$1.40 less than i make now
I could have eithor full or part time hours
I'm not sure about benifits/raises- will find out later today when i ask.

not bad. at all.
Sounds like the shelter is good for you.
err, hmm i know it sounds, great, but maybe you dont want to take on to much and to many hours?

working to much may make some things worse ? i dont know. you know how much you can take on at once

You're right- that's another thing i'm thinking about as well. Right now i work 4 day a week -Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. I work very hard 9 hour days and have to clean the entire shelter/ feed/water/ give meds/ vaccinate/ help with surgeries- pretty much everything. It's very hard work and considering how sick i am right now i don't want to bite off more than i can chew so i'm definitely thinking about politely declining his offer tomorrow...but i just want to see how it plays out. If he can use me just one day a week or so that i'm willing to do but i need at least two days off a week to really rocoup from the hard manual labor/work i do all day long. Not to mention- my work doesn't stop when i leave the shelter- i normally have infant foster kittens/puppies with me at home as well that must be fed every few hours - that's an around the clock job (i take them to work with me during the day). so i already have a ton on my plate, i might not need to take on anything else right now- so i'm just going to see what we come up with tomorrow. Right now i'm hurting really badly and my colon is still bleeding pretty bad...so i'm thinking a call to the GI doc is definitely in order in the morning. I'm not going to press my luck right now.

I appreciate that. I was going to go to bed a while ago but have been staying up since i've been feeling so sick - no need to go to sleep only to get up every few minutes and wake colin in the process. You're right though- i'm definitely calling my GI doc in the morning because right now i'm not feeling any better. The vomiting is gone thanfully but my other symptoms are sticking around and are worse, not better./ I'll be sure to let you know about the job as soon as i know...i'm not sure what i'm going to do yet.

YA but i am scared to put that stuff on because bella likes to sleep under the covers on my chest every night, so i am iffy on putting anything on that could harm the kitties
But I understand how TCS is lol I am almost done with my outline but idk I thik maybe i should try to sleep a little too huh
but now I am watching ER that i taped earlier this morning, its on too early (the repeats and well this is my favorite season) so u know watching wat i missed while i was sleeping ! But get a good nights rest, and see u tomarrow
feel better

Enjoy your ER rerun!!! This season's was good i agree
I love ER and Grey's Anatomy

Night! Good luck finishing that homework!

ya this season was one of the best, i cant wait for it to come back on in april
Also the season i am watching now is actually season 6, they rerun it on er adn well I gotta clear this tape and then retape at 10 am and then watch that by the time 90210 comes on becaue MY MOM wants me to tape it, mind u she watched it when it was on and now I am the one educating her on that show now (she appearantly missed almost all the seasons except for the last 3-4 seasons
) But look at the influence my mom gives me on shows then when I watch the reruns she now is doingn the same
But get a great nights rest and I am heading there, cant wait to put my foam matress on, i will be so refreshed and sleeping like a baby and i am sure the kits wont let me sleep that well because when i had a foam on before they loved it
now i got a feather bed and ordered a new foam matress adn it finally came!! Weekends almost here so it can come one
but i hope u sleep well !

Thanks for the vibes/prayers everyone. I appreciate them. Yesterday morning, i called my doctors office and told them what my symptoms were. They said not to even bother comming into their office, but to go instead to the emergency room. So I was in the ER from 2pm-11pm last night. (if i never see another hospital again it'll be too soon
) / They took blood to test it,gave me an IV with antibiotics and another IV with fluids, After that they made me drink something and then have a CAT scan done. Thankfully, the CAT scan came back pretty good- so i was really happy to hear that. The blood tests showed them that my potassium level had plumetted (that definitely explained why i've been so sleepy lately) So they gave me a really strong dose of potassium there as well as a prescription for it when i left. They also gave me another medicine for my stomach and the really bad cramping. The doctor said it had definitely been a combination of food poisioning and the flu bug from best he could tell- i had been loosing soo much blood from my colon and fluids that is why my potassium levels were low. So other than that- i think those TCS vibes were magic, because everything else looked good
The doctor put me on bed rest until Tuesday and sent me home with two prescriptions as well as two things to get OTC. So i'm hoping i start to feel better soon
I think i'm getting a little bit of my appetite back- so that helps too. The stuff they gave me at the hopital really seemed to help me feel a little bit better. So thanks again for the prayers/vibes everyone. I have to go to my GI doctor on Monday for a follow up/check up so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that it goes well.

thankyou, i appreciate it.
i just got a nice suprise- my sister kimmy and her 3 kids and my mom showed up with flowers for me- my favorites too- lilies
that definitely cheered me up a bit. / I just took the bandages off my arm a minute ago- looks like a wolverine got ahold of my arm and used it as a chew toy
I am starting to feel better though- i think the medicine is really helping. I'm still pretty weak though so i'm hoping i get some energy up soon.

Thanks Gail!
I appreciate that. We definitely had a wonderful time in Mobile. It really gave Colin and I a chance just to hang out and spend time together without having to worry about our busy work schedules. It was just the ride back that was a nightmare. I mean every few minutes he had to pull over on the side of the road or to a gas station for me. I was really sick. It continuted even after we got home. (haha i don't think i'll be wanting to take another road trip for a while now
) Thankfully now though tonight i'm finally starting to feel a bit better
The nausea is going away as is some of the more intense cramping. I'm also starting to get my energy and appetite back
Those TCS vibes are great! I'm still really weak and sick....but i can already see an improvement since i went to the emergency room. The meds they gave me are definitely helping so i'm really greatfull for that. I'm still supposed to be on bedrest till Tues though. I have to go to my GI doctor on Monday for a check up and some more labs. Hopefully I'll be able to go back to work by Wed. or Thurs. It's driving me crazy not to be at work- i miss the animals and my friends (not to mention i'm going to be missing a large chunk out of my paycheck
) I'm just glad that the form of colitis i have can be treated and will go away (it was caused by food poisioning) I could have gotten another type that isn't as easy to treat....so even though this stinks, i'm greatfull it wasn't anything worse than this. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that my insurance covers the majority of my hospital bill.

Nikki...I'm sure you know - but I would hate for something to happen - lilies are VERY toxic to kitties. Just so if you have any nibblers...
