Hepatic Lipidosis...

Well... turns out Zeesa's bloodwork is taking steps in the right direction... her bilirubin went down and the doctor is really optimistic so that makes me feel much better. He gave her an anti-nausea med, and so far after two feedings today she's held it down. I feel so so so much more confident and positive. I'm like a freakin' warrior now. It feels like she hates me, but I just keep telling her that she is going to feel so much better.

Thanks for the support everyone... this is a nasty disease and we can use all the love we can get. It's been great to hear other people's stories.

Just read both your recent posts. I keep thinking about you and Zeesa. I can't tell you how glad I am to read this news.

Good luck - I am glad it is getting better. I have never had a cat with HL but I almost lost a pony to it. And all I can say is, if you think force feeding a cat is hard, you should try it with a stubborn Shetland!

Thank you!! I can't wait for that day either. She's handling her tube feedings like a champ. That anti-nauseau med is my best friend!!

I'm so glad that Zeesa is on the way to recovery. I have experienced this nasty disease first hand with my Bud and with work and determination it can be reversed.
