I've decided to send an email to both of them since I plan on putting them on these two food soon. Here are the responses I got from them with my concern.

Please know that Natural Balance is NOT involved with the pet food recall, nor are we associated with Menu Foods. For more information regarding this recall you can visit www.fda.gov. In regards to our products, please know that our dry and canned formulas are "co-packed" at a separate facility in the United States . What this means, is that we use their machinery to manufacture our OWN products. We also have our OWN quality control over seeing any manufacturing/production of our products. Further, all of our products are tested prior to production, after production, and then once again at our facility before the product ever leaves for distribution. elaborate quality control system in place.
They are certified by AIB (American Institute of Baking), which is a
certification process that is required in human grade food
manufacturing
facilities. This is the highest certification that can be obtained and
we are proud that our co-manufacturer works so hard to achieve this.
They are also audited by Silliker Labs, another company that typically
audits human-grade food facilities.
