I think I might find more info here on the health thread ...
Posted about 'lick spot' on pregnancy thread. She is just over two weeks from her due date and has licked herself raw on one side, right at her tail. I was thinking it may be a lick spot, but further research is pointing to anal sac abcess ... wish I knew how to post a pic, but you all would probably not appreciate a picture of it anyway, it is a bit nasty. She is just going to have to let me get a better look at it to see if there is an originating abcess, but she tried to warn me off with a little nip when I tried to look again just a few minutes ago. I think I will have my friend hold her down so I can look. Anyone have any experience with anal sac abcess, or anyhting like this happening with a pregnant cat?
