The tumor that was on her face was a basal cell cancer tumor but the pathology results are that the tumor was completely removed.
The tumor by her legpit was also cancerous-a breast tumor-pathologyalso indicted the entire tumor was removed.
When I bring her back in next monday we will go over what we will have to watch for (basically any lumps under legs, breasts etc....) I don't think we need xrays as this time. Did you know you are supposed to do monthly breast exams on cats??
The not so good news is I noticed that when she is napping her left eye doesn't shut. The vet was afraid of that happening-he is hoping that its due to the stitches (she has about an 1 1/2 line) pulling. Otherwise it could possibly be nerve damage due to removal of the tumor. If its the second scenario we will have to deal with eye lube for the rest of her life. A small price to pay I hope.

Well, at least it sounds like the vet did a thorough job removing the tumors.

No, I did not! I'm always teasing Pushy about his udders though.
I hope Bobber continues to improve, and that her eyelid closes eventually.

It sounds like you generally got good news about Bobber! I hope the tumors don't reoccur and she recovers well.

For the eye: when Spike (dog) was a puppy, he tripped up my husband who fell on his head and broke his nose. The nerve damage caused his ducts to shut down in both his eye and nose. We did drops in his eyes and saline spray in his nose many times a day for a few months. There is a surgery that can redirect ducts to allow for tearing. Fortunately, Spike's nerves regenerated and we didn't have to go thru that. I guess I'm telling you this because there are options to drops and there is always a chance for the nerves to regenerate.
