Well Im not sure how to word this really, but will have a go.

Humphrey has been done for about 10 months now. He is a very loving boy. When he wants to setle down to go to sleep he will knead his bed, cushion or anywhere he chooses to sleep. Thats fine BUT after he done that he then goes on to rub his "bits" on it for about 5 mins!!!! Well the kids find this hilarious but its getting to the stage where I dont like him doing it. Not sure if this is normal but Im not sure I like him doing it on my cushions!!!!! Im forever takng him off them to wash them straight away, so I keep putting him in his bed, much to his disgust! If I stop him from doing it,he stops straight away.

Please let me know what to do

I don't have this problem, but I know there is at least one TCS member that bought their furboy a special stuffed animal for bit rubbing. You might try something that has the same feel to it as the cushion that he likes does.

Just a thought?

I'm sorry! Poor Humphrey. I can just see you coming home with a collection of stuffed animals for Humphrey to "try out" "How about the little bear? Is it too soft? Try the rabbit, that is fluffier..."

My family used to have a cat, DC (a huge tabby-point siamese) and about 2 years after he was fixed, he went into my room and um...."molested" this stuffed cat that I had that looked just like an orange tabby. After that he moved on to molesting blankets. We never broke him of the habit, just shooed him away. Maybe you could find a stuffed animal for him?

LOL, heheheh well I suppose I could go through the kids collection of stuffed animals!!!! No I am only joking guys! The replies made me laugh though.

Well the thought of him doing that makes me feel weird, almost like me knowing the kids when they get older, doing stuff that perhaps they should not with the opposite sex if you get my drift!!

Think I got to accept its him and he growing up!

oh claire...don't worry, he can't get the stuffie preggers...and if you're really concerened there's always the pill.

If you're going to try with the stuffed animals, you might want to take something "pre rubbed" and rub it on the animal, maybe he's senting his pherimones or something. Might coax him to return to that .... uh....spot.

I know I shouldn`t laugh but Kitty does this too. Well, he actually gets 'fruity' with my leg when I go to bed

I`ve not found a way to stop him. If I move him he gets mad and then I get woken up at silly o`clock with him gettin jiggy on me!
He does it at bedtime too. He waits while I`m getting ready for bed and when I get in he either curls up next to me or I get some 'leg lovin'.
Tried getting him a toy but he`s not interested.
Is there a specific cushion he uses that you could donate to him?
