Why did Kitty go for me?

A few days ago I opened the door so Kitty could go out but someones dog started barking so he shot back in. I groomed him for a bit because that makes him happy then he wanted to go out again, so I open the door and he decided he didn`t want to go after all
Anyway, he walked off up the hall and I was behind him on my way to the kitchen when suddenly he turned round and went for my slipper!
Then he ran off into the lounge.
He hasn`t done that before. Was it redirected agression because the dog scared him, do you think?

He was PROBABLY just under stress from the situation before, and then thought you were trying to sneak up on him and just panicked. Cats are weird sometimes... it's just their way of life. LOL. If my kitty PHX is laying on the stairs-- wait I mean HIS stairs.. and i try walking down the stairs he will attack my feet every single time!!! Its so cute but annoying at the same time!

Yeah, the slippers were a little traumatised but they`ll get over it!
