We rescued this cat in sept, as a kitten. On Christmas day, this indoor cat had some sort of reaction to something, and ended up scratching all of the hair and skin off of his neck. Real bad, open, oozing wounds.

We took him to the vet and they said it was an allergic reaction to fleas he had. The vet gave us some advantage, some chlorHex 2X, and some antibiotic that we had to inject in to his mouth. This cleared it up fairly quick.

Needless to say the cat has hated us ever since :/

Since then we switched to frontline.

Anyway, recently it's happening again on the same level. I admit we were a few days late on his frontline, but even after treatment it's getting worse by the day..

I just caught my log licking it, which I'm sure is not helping.

I don't know what to do.. I assume I have to take him back to the vet, but I don't think it'll be the same one.

Does anyone know what this might be?

Another thing we notice is that he had these bumps all over his skin, they almost feel like little scabs.

Thank you

It could still be a flea allergy, but he may need treatment (perhaps allergy meds) to help it clear up. You might also want to try one of those E-collars to keep him from being able to scratch himself.
