to everyone for their positive vibes and thinking positive!!

I really appreciate it all.

I won't find out the results until tomorrow. *sigh* I am still worried though cuz of their behavior- let me try to summarize this- hopefully SHORT!!

Normally when I go to get Buddy into the carrier to take to the vet- he would make me chase him around for a few minutes before I could catch him. Today, he did not try to run away at all. I do not think that is a good sign.

When I got to the vet with Pepper, Buddy & Tango, the vet was a bit cranky at first - (I think he's frustrated cuz so many people are calling him and he does not have a lot of answers for us). He immediately told me that the blood tests will be almost $100 for EACH cat (I think he was trying to convince me not to have blood tests) and I told him I was aware of that and willing to do whatever is necessary. After he checked the cats out, he warmed up and said I DO have reason to be concerned.

First, he looked at Pepper- she looks fine but have 2 clogged tear ducts (that's another story for another thread!) and said Pepper looks fine..

Next one was Buddy- I told him I was concerned cuz he appeared lethergratic somewhat, doesn't have much of an appetite (he tend to be very picky with food) and seems to have lost some MORE weight (he's already too thin). The vet picked him up and immediately said that I needed to feed him. I was like I KNOW but HOW!?!? I have been trying everything!! then after the vet checked Buddy's history (weight, etc), he said Buddy has lost a bit more weight. He finally agreed that we should have blood tests done. He said if the tests do not show something for Buddy that we need to discuss Buddy's weight further and develop some kind of plan to get Buddy to GAIN weight. He's so thin you can feel his hip bones!! I have brought this to several vets's attention several times in the past but they said he appeared fine and to continue to try to fatten him up.. GRR.. I'm glad the vet finally realized something's up with Buddy's weight.

Next one was Tango who has been a bit lethergratic and not as interested in eating like he used to be- he's normally the FRIENDLIEST cat EVER to everyone. To my SHOCK, he started growling and hissing when the vet approached him. He actually tried to attack the vet! I had to grab him and hold him down. The vet had me wrap him up in a towel so he could safely take him into the back to have blood taken. Tonight when I put down wet food, Tango did not even come to check it out (normally he'd be one of the FIRST to eat) so that makes my concerns stronger..

My vet told me that he'll call me tomorrow after he gets the results back from the lab.

I'm trying to think positive... *sigh*. I do feel a bit better because I am being PROACTIVE- doing SOMETHING instead of sitting around and worrying myself to DEATH. I will be living off Mac & Cheese for a couple months! To have all 3 cats tested and get updated shots cost me several HUNDRED DOLLARS but I was expecting it and willing to pay for peace of mind.

Thank you all for all your positive vibes and caring..

Thanks.. *sigh* I am trying to take it one day at a time but sometimes it's just so hard. The time of the month is NOT HELPING if you know what I mean..

It's helping me to know that there are people out there who cares about me and my cats even though we have not met in person or really chat.. That is one thing I LOVE about this forum- people really do care for each other and other cats even when we do not know each other..

I can understand that - I'd be frantic myself! Just take care of yourself and the kitties and try to get through until you get the results!

I have made an appt to have 3 cats tested by my vet (Tango, Buddy and Pepper) Tuesday (tomorrow) at 3:15. I won't know for at least 24-48 hours the results and I am already crying NOW cuz I am TERRIFIED of what the results may be...

I just don't know if I am being paranoid or if there IS something really wrong with some of my cats. Tango and Buddy seems lethegratic sometimes but not all the time. I found vomit several times over the weekend but it could be cuz I brought pet grass for them to eat.

I just NEED vibes to get me through the next couple days until I find out the results and then I'll know what to do next.

This is so frightening for me and I'm sure many others are going through the same emotions as I am but I just feel so alone!
My cats are my babies. I feel like I cannot even trust my judgement in buying FOOD for them now! What IS safe now for them to eat??

What will I do if I find out any of them HAVE been affected PERMANENTLY by this? I'll be devastated!
Just wondering? It's Wednesday am - just wanted to ask how things are going? Did the vet give you any indication if there was anything to be concerned about? Keep us posted.

That's terrific news! Now you'll be able to stop losing sleep over this, and not have to keep checking for updates.

My thoughts and good vibes are coming to you and your kits. I'm sure they will be ok but I would worry if it were my Misty. Just keep doing what your doing, keeping a close eye on them and get them to the vet if needed asap.

That's GREAT news! Hopefully Pepper's tear ducts will clear up and Buddy will gain some more weight.

Yes...as everyone is telling you.....you have to get a grip here....you cannot let this affect your job and school. Sounds like you are obsessed with this and imagining some of the things your cats are doing are a sure sign of illness.

My cats throw up when they eat too fast...and are sometimes less active when they are feeling lazy.

And, bye the bye.....kitty grass definitely makes them throw up....that's why cats eat grass....

Take it easy.....please.....if you are upset...they are upset....and you may have more "throwing up"!!! Hugs!!!!
