Wishing I were anywhere but here
So I stop at a gas station to fill my car up with gas on the way home. I normally just pay outside because most pumps require you to prepay and I just don't want to deal with the crowd inside.
I went to a gas station that does not require you to prepay and decided on the spur of the moment to get some scratch off lottery tickets. I rarely buy them.
I was estatic that I won on the first one. It was only a $1, but I never win anything! Then I scratched off the second one and won $2 more! I didn't care that it was only $3!

Anyone else ever win on a scratch off? If so, how much have you won? How often do you get one?

The lottery has only recently been made legal here
but no, and I'm not sure I will either. Something about the possibility of spending money and having nothing to show for it bothers me. There is a nearby casino though, a few months ago my dad and his wife won $1000.

Congrats!!
3 bucks is 3 bucks in my book!

Gambling is considered illegal here, to get a lotto ticket I would have to drive almost 2 hours, so I've never bought one!

My FIL bought my MIL a scratch and win for mother's day about 7 or 8 years ago and she won $50,000. Then a couple years about my FIL's brother bought a scratch ticket and won the top prize of $25,000. I sure hope this good luck runs in the genes
!

The most I've ever won is $20. *pouts*

Good job! Every penny counts, right??
I won $35 about a month ago. I used to have way better luck though.........I would win %50-$100 everytime I played!! Not the case anymore tho.

That's great! Feels good to win on those, doesn't it? I never have won big but if I get an `urge' to buy one (which isn't very often) I always do because I'm hoping it might be my sixth sense talking to me

Actually, there was a lotto jackpot tonight and I had a ticket, so I could be 13 million dollars richer and I don't know it yet! I like to find out straight away but Max always leaves checking his tickets for a couple of days because, as he puts it, he likes to `prolong the dream' for a bit.

Well in Ca I bought 2.00 ticket every pay day and I would win at times but here in Utah they do not allow gambling so since I am only 5 min from Pocatella Idaho I go there once or twice a year to get a lottery ticket fix

That winning you got is good for another go get it
That is great ya won...

I've won a few times, but only about $1 or so..maybe $2. Once I won $10, but blew it on more tickets

There is a woman I work with though who has won $10,000 TWICE in about 2 or 3 years. She is one of those people who seem to win and win big all the time. But, then again, she probably spends $100 a week on tickets

I buy the bingo scratch tickets quite often. Not like every day, but like once or twice a week. I had a time when I won about 10 times in a row and just kept getting another ticket with it until I lost. Twice I have won $50 and once my boyfriend won $50. I have gotten $5, $8 and $10 a few times too. The most I ever won was at a casino when I won $937.50

Nuh uh...might give me away!
I rarely win on those. My grandma has won $2,000 from a scratch off on a few occasions (and smaller amounts here and there).

As far as the lotto...my parents won $10,000 from Powerball before my wedding. For months before he won, my dad kept saying, "Just $10,000 and everything will be ok. We just need $10,000."
Talk about creating an order with God, lol. Of course, after taxes, it wasn't $10k, but still, that's money they didn't have.

I've only won like $25 tops from one but haven't bought one in a long time. I have a great aunt that picks them up "every once in awhile" and every time she does she wins a couple hundred bucks!! Too bad that luck doesn't run in the family!
