I'm glad that she is safe.Unfortunalty due to her being a Pit, that is a red flag for alot of people and they are affraid to even attempt to adopt them.

I understand why shelters do home checks, especially with the horrifying stories we hear about animal abuse lately, and especially with a pit bull... but it just seems weird that one minute, the poor dog is about to be killed, and the next, they won't let you adopt her until they have time to inspect your house.

It's a very strange world we live in.

Everyone has said that. haha!

They do that because people are sick and buy pits from a shelter and fight them. Why pay $2,000 from a breeder when you can get one from a shelter for $100 - $200.

People make me sick!

Right now her name is "Mimi" but I think we are going to change it to "Zoey". Mimi reminds me of that lady from The Drew Carey Show.
The shelter is guessing she is betweem 2 - 3, but closer to 2. Either way, she is still a puppy imo.

The home check should be within the next couple days... After that, it should just take a day or two to get her to me. My guess would be middle to end of next week she'll be in her new home.
