It amazes me that they actually voted him back in.

I realized when Katrina happened that Nagin is a few sandwiches short of a picnic...well atleast sandwiches made with white bread.

He is one of the many, and it's sad because of what position he's in, who wants to blame everyone else, and pull the race card in regards to the disaster that happened in New Orleans. He's doing this to put attention away from his own mistakes. I still think of the image of the school bus yard full of buses that was flooded but yet even though he knew the storm was coming, and even after it hit and had enough time to do so, he didn't use that resource to help get his people out.

I would like to see him be kidnapped in the middle of the night, operated on and have his skin dyed to a different color (maybe green?) and given a boob job and his peewee tied.

Then I would LOVE to wait and see if he refers to "his people" and New Orleans again.

Why in the world would the people of New Orleans vote re-elect him? It has always baffled me.

Well here in Detroit we're still figuring out why Kwame Kilpatrick got re-elected. He was voted the worse mayor in the United States.

Actually I take that back...there were some suspicion at the time of the election that the voting was rigged...maybe that's what happened in New Orleans. ????

Mayor Nagin totally threw his people under the bus and let them fend for themselves during Katrina and they vote him back in. Maybe it was a rigged vote.

Or was it just him and his family left to vote vs. the opponent and his family?

Face it, the race card/conspiracy theory election strategy worked for Marion Berry and Nagin figured that it was HIS best shot.

Nagin bears a LOT of responsibilty for the conditions after the hurricane. Obviously, he made sure that HE was in a safe place. The only contingency/evacuation plan that he had was for his OWN sorry butt.

It is just not right that he thinks there was this whole Katrina conspiracy to drive "his" people out of New Orleans. There are thousands of people of ALL races who were displaced by the storm that have yet to return. He's giving the government too much credit!

A rigged vote? In New Orleans? Never. Nope. That's the cleanest political town that has ever existed.

Nagin may be bad, but he comes from a long line of very corrupt men.
